This Uni Filter Snorkel Pre Cleaner is designed to fit over the air ram head at the very top of your Safari-brand snorkel. This pack includes three pre-cleaner filters.
If you frequently drive in dusty environments, such as on dirt roads, rural properties, or in convoy with other vehicles, your engine's air filter is working overtime. A snorkel pre-cleaner provides the first line of defence, capturing larger particles of dust, sand, insects, and debris before they can even enter the snorkel body. This dramatically reduces the workload on your main air filter, extending its service life and ensuring your engine breathes cleaner air for longer.
Without a pre-cleaner, your main air filter can become clogged very quickly in dusty conditions. A clogged filter restricts airflow, leading to a significant loss of engine performance, increased fuel consumption, and accelerated engine wear. In worst-case scenarios, fine abrasive dust can bypass a choked filter, leading to severe internal engine damage, a costly situation known as "dusting" an engine.
