This heavy-duty recovery point is designed to be fitted directly to the chassis at the front of your vehicle, providing a safe and secure attachment point for recovery equipment. It is a direct replacement or upgrade over the standard, non-rated factory tie-down points, which are only intended for securing the vehicle during transport.
A rated recovery point is an essential piece of equipment for any off-road driving. The factory tie-down hooks are not designed to handle the immense shock loads generated during a vehicle recovery with a snatch strap or winch. Using these points for recovery is extremely dangerous and can lead to component failure.

NOTE:
Although RP-PAT01 is supplied individually—it is recommended that any pull applied to the tow point is done so using a corresponding attachment point to the chassis on the other side of the vehicle, so as to evenly distribute the force across the two tow points.
RP-PAT01 are sold individually, because many bull bars already have one tow point built in due to the construction of the GQ Chassis and the difficulty of accessing the internals of the chassis rail to install the retaining nuts.
Please install RP-PAT01 as matched pairs. Failure to use these items in matched pairs, with an equalising bridle, will affect warranty.
