This left Hand (Driver's Side) Engine Block Mount bolts directly to the engine block, providing a critical connection point to the chassis engine mount insulator. Its purpose is to securely anchor the engine, absorbing torque and vibrations to prevent them from transferring into the cabin. For 4x4 owners, particularly those with the legendary high-torque TD42 diesel or the powerful TB45 petrol engines, the original cast alloy mount is a known weak point. Under the intense stresses of off-roading, towing, or with performance modifications, the factory mount can fatigue and crack, necessitating a much stronger replacement.
These are sought after when doing engine conversions such as the common ZD30 - TD42 & GQ TD42 into a GU as they can be left off engines when sold.
2nd hand are hard to come by, so we have designed our own which are LOCALLY AUSTRALIAN MADE.
We also have the right hand side, rubber engine mounts, and weld on chassis mounts to suit. These are available separately in our online store.
