Injector Support Clamp

Suits; Nissan Patrol with ZD30CR engine

This is the clamp that holds the injector in place in the engine.

One side of this slides into a groove on the injector, whilst the other side is pushed against a spring-loaded ball in the head to keep tension on the injector even if the washers crush.

It is very important the injector is always tight against the head, or else the injector chamber fills up with carbon from the cylinder and the inject gets jammed in the head.

It is uncommon but if you have any wear on these clamps then you should replace them before it becomes a bigger issue.
