Heavy Duty Flex Drive Plate - Nissan Patrol Y61 GU ZD30

This heavy-duty flex plate is fitted between the back of the ZD30 engine and the automatic transmission's torque converter. Its job is to transfer drive from the engine to the gearbox. The original Nissan ZD30 flex plates are a known weak point and are prone to cracking, especially on vehicles with performance modifications, that tow heavy loads, or are used for serious off-roading. A cracked flex plate can cause a rattling or knocking sound from the bell housing area, and if it fails completely, you will lose all drive, leaving you stranded.
