This is a complete seal kit for the power steering pump on a GU Patrol. To re-seal the pump completely you will also need a bearing part no. 6203-2RS. If your power steering pump is leaking fluid, rather than risk running your pump dry and destroying it, put a seal kit through it.
This kit provides all the necessary seals, gaskets, and O-rings to rebuild your existing pump, restoring its performance and stopping leaks. Ignoring a leaking power steering pump can lead to a loss of fluid, causing a whining noise, difficult steering, and potential long-term damage to the pump itself due to fluid starvation. A sudden loss of power assistance can make the vehicle difficult to control, posing a significant safety risk.
NOTE: Does NOT suit GQ Patrol.
The GU Patrol Power Steering Pump body is made from aluminium whereas the GQ Patrol Power Steering Pump body is made from cast iron.
