The distributor is a critical part of your TB42E EFI engine's ignition system, found on the side of the engine block. Its job is to tell the ignition system when to send a spark and to which cylinder. The internal components, particularly the bearing and optical sensor, are known to fail. A faulty distributor leads to poor engine performance, rough idling, misfiring, or hard starting. If it fails completely, your engine won't run at all, which is the last thing you want when you're off-road.
