Genuine Nissan Glow Plug Temp Sensor TD42 RD28 - Patrol GQ up to 8/1995

This genuine Nissan glow plug temperature sensor is located on the drivers side of the cylinder head on the RD28 engine. It measures the engine's coolant temperature and sends this information to the glow plug control unit, which then determines the correct amount of time to heat the glow plugs before starting.

This sensor may need to be replaced if your vehicle is experiencing hard starting in cold weather, rough idling on startup, or excessive white smoke from the exhaust. A faulty sensor can provide incorrect readings, leading to either insufficient or excessive pre-heating time.

This sensor has a thread size of M12 x 1.5.
