This hose is located on the top of your engine, connecting the rocker cover to the air intake pipe. Its job is to vent excess crankcase pressure, or 'blow-by', back into the engine to be burnt. After years of heat cycles under the bonnet, the original rubber hose becomes hard, brittle and eventually cracks. A failed hose will lead to oil leaks over your engine and can cause a vacuum leak, resulting in a rough idle and poor engine performance.
