This is the nut that goes onto the radius arm bolt to connect the radius arms to the diff housing.
The threads on the bolts wear out from being knocked in and out on the radius arms when they are removed and refitted a few times and can cause damage to the nuts.
Replacing them is the best option, we also sell the bolts to suit, part number 080246851A
