This is the seal that is located on the inner side of the rear wheel bearing cage housing. There is also two shims that are located between this seal and the diff housing assembly.

Non Genuine Seals Can Be Harder than genuine or incorrectly moulded.
This can cause them not to seal as well as a genuine seal.
