This differential carrier bearing is located inside your front or rear H233B differential housing, supporting the carrier assembly. When these bearings wear out, they can cause a whining or grinding noise from your differential. Ignoring a failing bearing can lead to its complete collapse, causing catastrophic damage to your crown wheel and pinion gears and potentially locking the diff, leaving you stranded with a very expensive repair bill.
