This power steering pump is a direct replacement unit, fitted to the TD42 diesel engine in the Nissan Patrol GQ. The pump is belt-driven and provides the hydraulic assistance required for easy steering operation. It is an essential component for replacing a worn, noisy, or leaking original pump to restore your vehicle's steering performance and reliability.
These are a GQ pump which has a different bolt spacing on the front mounting bracket than a GU. A GU bracket could be used but would need to be modified and re-drilled to suit.
There are 2 different types of rear mounting bracket on a GQ, if your pump has the bracket with the hole in the wrong spot (right at the top end of the bracket) you will need to drill one hole in your bracket for mounting it.
