This A/C compressor is located at the front of the engine and is driven by the main accessory belt. It acts as the heart of your vehicle's air conditioning system, responsible for pressurizing and circulating the refrigerant to provide cold air to the cabin. A failed compressor means no relief from the heat, making any journey uncomfortable and fatiguing.
Ignoring a failing or noisy A/C compressor can lead to significant mechanical issues. If the compressor's internal components or clutch pulley seize, it can cause the serpentine belt to shred or snap. This will result in an immediate loss of power steering, alternator function (disabling battery charging), and water pump operation, which can quickly lead to engine overheating and leave you stranded.

For Warranty Purposes it is required that the receiver dryer is to be replaced at the same time as the new compressor is, these are available separately in our online store. Part number RD6117. If your vehicle has rear air con, then you will need RD7075. If unsure, please check with us.
