This heavy-duty tie rod end is a crucial component of your vehicle's steering system, connecting the drag link to the passenger-side steering knuckle. It acts as a pivot, allowing your wheels to turn smoothly while maintaining steering alignment. Over time, especially on vehicles used for off-roading or heavy-duty work, the original tie rod ends can wear out, developing excessive play and compromising steering precision.
A worn or failing tie rod end can lead to several dangerous issues. You may notice vague or sloppy steering, clunking noises when turning the wheel, and accelerated, uneven tyre wear. If left unaddressed, a complete failure of the tie rod end can cause a sudden and total loss of steering control to that wheel, creating a significant safety risk.
NOTE: This does not screw into an aftermarket GQ Draglink to suit a GU steering box on a GQ. You will need a custom draglink, which we sell in our online store to suit this application.
