TB42 Carby 300A Gas Mixer Top Hat Adaptor

Suit Nissan Patrol GQ with TB42 Carby engine with a 300A Gas Mixer.

There can be a few issues with the normal filters fitted to the 300A Gas Mixer on top of the carby. The air cleaner can have a very poor seal to the mixer being a 2 piece item, likewise the airbox itself can take in air from in the engine bay, rather than the intake pipe as designed. These airboxes sometimes can be oval or square, making adapting to a snorkel difficult.

Luckily Patroldocta have designed this brand new Top Hat Adaptor for the 300A Mixer!

This intuitive design results in a completely water-tight intake system, utilizing a neoprene rubber seal, top and bottom, made specifically to fit on top of the 300A Mixer.

This Top Hat Adaptor gives you the ability to easily install a remote-fitted, high-flow airbox, which often results in some performance gains.
There are 18 pre-marked center punch holes on the top of this Adaptor. Allowing you to drill 6 holes depending on what direction you want the intake tube to face, to match up to your preferred airbox as neat as possible.

This Mixer Top Hat Adaptor has an intake hole diameter of 3.5 inches.

Comes as seen in image, with fitting instructions as well as 3 screws and nuts to secure the Adaptor to the carby.

NOTE - You will need to re-use your original rocker cover breather between the Mixer Cover and your snorkel.
You may also need to lengthen your gas feed line depending on your intake set-up.
Basic tuning may be required due to increased airflow.
