The throttle position switch is located on the driver's side of the engine, mounted to the rear of the throttle body. The sensor transmits it's position to the ECU allows it to accurately monitor the throttle plate's angle.
When a throttle position switch malfunctions, it can cause a range of engine performance issues. These include erratic idling, noticeable hesitation during acceleration, and an overall poor or inconsistent engine response.
