This O-ring seals the oil filler cap on your Nissan Patrol Y60 GQ or Y61 GU. This O-ring is located in your oil filler cap on top of your engine and seals your cap to the valve cover and is responsible for preventing oil leaks and maintaining oil pressure  

Without a properly sealing oil filler cap, you could end up with oil spraying around your engine bay, attracting dirt and potentially causing other problems.
