This fuel filter is located in the engine bay and is a critical service item for your diesel engine. Its job is to remove water and particle contaminants from your fuel before it reaches the high-pressure injection pump and injectors. A clogged or inefficient filter restricts fuel flow, leading to poor performance, hard starting, and reduced fuel economy. If left unchanged, a failed filter can allow contaminants into your high-pressure fuel system, causing catastrophic and extremely expensive damage to your injectors and injection pump.
