This high-capacity fuel tank is a direct replacement for the factory main fuel tank located at the rear of your Nissan Patrol GU. It is expertly designed to significantly increase your vehicle's fuel capacity, making it an essential upgrade for touring, off-roading, or heavy towing.

The standard factory fuel tank can limit your travel range, causing "range anxiety" and forcing you to plan your trips around fuel station locations. This is especially problematic in remote areas where fuel is scarce and expensive.

If you don't upgrade your fuel capacity, you risk being stranded in the middle of nowhere, a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation. You may also be forced to carry multiple heavy jerry cans, which take up valuable cargo space and can be a safety hazard if not stored correctly.

NOTE: On series 1 models up to 02/2000 you will need to purchase a new later model GU filler hose to it has the correct fittings for the tank. These are available separately in our online store. Part number 17228VB800.

The job requires safely draining all fuel, removing the old tank, and lifting the new, heavier tank into place. It's a good opportunity to inspect all fuel lines and seals.
