This HPD Billet Air Box Lid is designed to replace the factory plastic lid on your vehicle's air filter box. It is a crucial part of the engine's air intake system, responsible for sealing the air filter and ensuring only clean, filtered air reaches the engine.
The original plastic airbox lids on Nissan Patrols are notorious for warping and distorting due to constant heat cycles in the engine bay. This warping compromises the seal around the air filter, allowing fine dust and contaminants to bypass the filter and enter the engine's intake. This upgrade provides a robust, permanent solution to this common and potentially catastrophic problem.
