This is a brand new, Genuine Nissan gearbox assembly, a direct replacement for the GU Y61 Patrol fitted with the ZD30 engine. Located in the drivetrain between the engine and transfer case, this complete unit is the definitive solution for a worn or damaged gearbox suffering from high-mileage wear, internal gear damage, or case failure that can lead to a complete loss of drive. This assembly comes ready to install with the bellhousing, throw-out bearing, clutch fork, and reverse switch all pre-fitted from the factory. It also features the late model 5th gear mainshaft design for improved durability. Please be aware that replacing a gearbox is a major workshop job requiring a vehicle hoist and specialist tools; it is not recommended for DIY installation. For a complete and proper job, it is highly recommended to install a new clutch kit and spigot bearing at the same time and refill with fresh gearbox oil.

All GU gearboxes are interchangeable, as the gearbox cases are the same. The main differences are the bellhousings, Ratios (TB48) and the number of electrical switches.
