This engine cooling fan blade is fitted to the front of the engine on the viscous hub, located behind the radiator. It is a crucial component of your vehicle's cooling system, designed to pull a high volume of air through the radiator fins. This process dissipates heat from the engine coolant, particularly when the vehicle is moving at low speeds or is stationary.
Over time, the original plastic fan blades are exposed to thousands of heat cycles, causing them to become brittle and weak. It is essential to inspect your fan blade for any signs of cracking or damage and replace it as a preventative measure. A failure can be sudden and catastrophic.
There are 2 sizes of Fan Blades to suit the GQ TB42.
The early ones are supposed to measure 101mm from one mounting hole to the next, or 143mm from opposite mounting holes. (the bolts that mount the blades to the viscous hub)
The later ones (Typically EFI) are supposed to be 95mm from one bolt hole to the next.
These ones are the Larger Bolt spacing (101mm) to suit the Earlier Model Engines up to 1991
