If your spring towers have torn off from heavy loads, these will need to be replaced, if left unattended, this could cause substantial damage to your vehicle. For desert touring, you need to make sure these are in excellent condition as all the corrugations can damage your spring towers with heavy loads. 

These have a drain hole (as you can see next to the label) for water to drain out, where a standard GQ spring tower does not have this. This helps stop the build up of mud etc, eventually causing this to rust out.
