This Walker O2 Oxygen Sensor is fitted to the exhaust system of your vehicle. It is the rear, or downstream, sensor located after the catalytic converter. Its primary function is to measure the amount of oxygen in the exhaust gases after they have been treated by the catalytic converter. This information is sent to the vehicle's engine control unit (ECU) to monitor the efficiency of the converter.
A replacement is necessary when the original sensor fails or becomes contaminated, leading to inaccurate readings. A faulty rear O2 sensor will typically trigger a check engine light and can cause your vehicle to fail an emissions test.
2006 onwards models have 4 sensors, and the 2 upper ones were also changed after 2006. So please check the pictures of the plugs in the photo before purchasing. The earlier plugs are 4 pin wide. the later are 2 rows of 2 pins.
