Inconel Turbo to Manifold Stud - Nissan Patrol GQ GU Maverick TD42

The factory studs securing the turbocharger to the exhaust manifold on TD42 engines are a known weak point. Subjected to extreme heat cycles, these original studs can stretch, snap, or have their threads damaged, leading to an exhaust leak. Signs of a faulty stud include a distinct ticking noise from the engine bay, a loss of performance, and visible soot around the turbo flange.

To solve this common problem, we developed this high-performance stud from Inconel, a superior nickel-chromium superalloy. It provides exceptional strength and resistance to heat fatigue, ensuring a permanent, leak-free seal between your turbo and manifold for improved reliability.

Installation Notes

• Replacement is a moderate workshop job. Access can be limited, and original studs are often seized or broken, which may require specialized tools for extraction.
• You may also require: When replacing these studs, it is highly recommended to also install a new turbo to manifold gasket (1441551N0A) and new nuts (CNM10SET) to ensure a perfect seal.
