Patrolapart Hand Brake Hardware Kit - Nissan Patrol Y60 GQ & Y61 GU

Hand Brake Hardware Kit - Suit Nissan Patrol GQ Y60 & GU Y61 Models

This hand brake hardware kit is located within the rear brake rotor assembly, containing all the essential springs, clips, and retainers for the parking brake shoes. It is responsible for holding the hand brake shoes in place and ensuring they engage and disengage correctly. For any 4x4 owner, the hand brake system is constantly exposed to mud, water, and dirt, which causes these small metal components to rust, weaken, and fail over time. Replacing the hardware is a critical part of any hand brake service to restore original performance and reliability.

The risk: Ignoring worn or corroded hand brake hardware can seriously compromise your vehicle's ability to hold securely on an incline, creating a significant safety hazard. Failed springs or clips can cause the hand brake shoes to drag, leading to grinding noises, excessive heat, premature wear of the shoes and rotors, and even potential wheel lock-up.
