Genuine Nissan Timing Chain Guide RH Slack - Nissan Navara D40 VQ40

Genuine Nissan Timing Chain Guide RH Slack - Nissan Navara D40 VQ40

This is the Timing Chain Guide that goes on the Right Hand / Drivers side of the engine which is the slack side and goes on the OUTER side of the timing chain. This guide sits inside the timing cover and directs the timing chain, keeping it running smoothly. You might need to replace this guide if you're experiencing rattling noises from the engine, especially on startup.

Ignoring a worn or damaged timing chain guide can lead to serious engine damage. A snapped or excessively worn guide can cause the timing chain to jump, resulting in bent valves and piston damage
