Genuine Nissan Lower Thermostat Housing TD42 - Nissan Patrol Y60 GQ & Y61 GU

Genuine Nissan Lower Thermostat Housing - Nissan Patrol Y60 GQ Y61 GU TD42 N/A

This is the Genuine Nissan lower thermostat housing, located on the engine block where the lower radiator hose connects on a TD42 engine. The original factory-fitted alloy housing can corrode, causing pitting on the gasket sealing surfaces. This is a common problem resulting from age or the use of poor-quality coolant, which eventually leads to coolant leaks.

A leaking housing results in coolant loss, which can cause your engine to overheat. Failure to fix this issue can lead to significant and costly engine damage, including a warped cylinder head or blown head gasket. Replacing a worn or leaking housing is critical maintenance to protect your engine.
