Rear Axle O-Ring Seal - Nissan Patrol Y60 GQ & Y61 GU

Rear Axle O-Ring Seal - Nissan Patrol Y60 GQ Y61 GU

This o-ring is located on the rear axle, fitting between the CV joint and the wheel bearing hub assembly. Its purpose is to create a seal, preventing grease from escaping the hub and stopping water, dirt, and other contaminants from getting in. If this seal fails, grease will leak out and contaminate your rear brake pads and rotors, which is a serious safety issue as it significantly reduces your braking ability. A failed seal also allows dirt and water into your wheel bearings, leading to premature failure and a much more costly repair down the track.
