Radiator Overflow Bottle - Nissan Pathfinder R51 YD25 VQ40

Radiator Overflow Bottle - Nissan Pathfinder R51 YD25 VQ40

The radiator overflow bottle, also known as the coolant expansion tank, is an essential part of your vehicle's cooling system, located in the engine bay beside the radiator. This high-quality replacement bottle captures coolant that expands from the radiator as the engine heats up and returns it to the system as it cools down, maintaining optimal coolant levels and pressure.

Over time and with constant exposure to heat cycles, the original plastic bottle can become brittle, yellow, and develop cracks, leading to coolant leaks. Replacing a faulty overflow bottle is crucial to prevent your engine from overheating and ensure the longevity of your cooling system.

Failing to replace a cracked or leaking overflow bottle will result in a gradual loss of coolant. This can lead to engine overheating, which, if left unchecked, can cause severe and expensive damage, such as a blown head gasket or a warped cylinder head.
