Power Steering Pump Bearing - Nissan Patrol Y61 GU, Y62 & Navara D22, D23 & D40

This is a high-quality aftermarket power steering pump bearing, engineered as a direct replacement component for a wide range of Nissan Patrol and Navara models. If you're chasing down a high-pitched whine or a grinding noise from your power steering pump, a worn-out main shaft bearing is the usual culprit. This bearing is a critical part for rebuilding your pump and restoring quiet, reliable steering performance.

Located inside the front housing of the power steering pump, this bearing supports the main pulley shaft. Over time, heat, stress, and contaminated fluid will cause the original bearing to fail, leading to excessive shaft play and noise. Using an inferior replacement risks premature failure, which can cause catastrophic damage to the pump internals and lead to costly repeat repairs. This heavy-duty bearing is made to the correct tolerances to handle demanding off-road conditions.

Installation Notes

Replacing this bearing is a complex workshop job. It requires the complete removal of the power steering pump from the vehicle, followed by a full disassembly of the pump unit itself to press out the old bearing and install the new one. We strongly recommend also purchasing a seal kit to complete the rebuild correctly.
