This piston ring set is fitted into the machined grooves on the outside of the pistons within your vehicle's engine. This is a high-quality, complete aftermarket piston ring set from Engine Australia, specifically designed for the Nissan Patrol GU ZD30 engine requiring a 3mm oil ring.
Over time, piston rings wear down due to the immense heat and friction inside the engine's cylinders. They are a critical wear item that needs replacing during an engine rebuild or when signs of failure become apparent.
