Patrolapart Idle Air Control Valve TB48 - Nissan Patrol Y61 GU Manual

Idle Air Control Valve - Nissan Patrol GU Y61 TB48 Manual

Located on the throttle body of your engine, the Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) is responsible for managing the engine's idle speed. It allows a specific amount of air to bypass the closed throttle plate, ensuring your engine runs smoothly and consistently when stationary or coasting. For a 4x4 owner, a malfunctioning IACV can lead to a rough, unstable idle, or even stalling, which is particularly problematic during low-speed, technical off-road situations where precise control is essential. Replacing a faulty valve restores this stability and control.

Manual TB48 throttle bodies are very hard to source secondhand, so new may be the only option.

As this is an electronic item it is not returnable.
