NPW Viscous Hub RD28 YD25 - Nissan Patrol Y61 GU & Navara D22

This is a quality aftermarket viscous fan hub clutch assembly from NPW, designed as a direct replacement for Nissan Navara D22 models with the YD25 engine and GU Patrols with the RD28 engine. Located at the front of the engine, this component connects the cooling fan to the water pump pulley, regulating fan speed based on engine temperature to ensure optimal cooling performance.

Replacing a faulty fan hub is crucial to prevent serious engine damage from overheating. This is a straightforward job for a workshop or experienced home mechanic, though specific fan clutch spanner tools are often required for removal. While replacing the hub, it is highly recommended to also inspect the fan blades for cracks, the water pump for any signs of leaks or bearing play, and the fan belts for wear.
