This rubber seal is fitted around the fixed glass window on the larger right-hand side (driver's side) rear barn door of your vehicle. It is designed to create a weatherproof seal between the glass and the door frame. Over time, the original rubber can perish, crack, and shrink due to constant exposure to the elements. This deterioration compromises the seal, making replacement necessary to protect your vehicle's interior.
If a failing window rubber is not replaced, it can allow water to leak into the rear of your Patrol. This can lead to water-damaged interior trims, a musty smell, the growth of mould and mildew, and can eventually cause rust to form in the door frame itself.
