High Pressure Power Steering Line Hose TD42 - Nissan Patrol Y60 GQ

High Pressure Power Steering Line Hose - Nissan Patrol GQ Y60 TD42

This high-pressure power steering hose connects the power steering pump to the steering box, carrying the hydraulic fluid essential for assisted steering. On a rugged 4x4 like the Nissan Patrol, the original hoses are prone to perishing, cracking, and leaking due to age, constant heat cycles from the engine, and the harsh vibrations experienced off-road. A leaking hose will lead to a loss of fluid and steering assistance, making the vehicle difficult to handle, especially on challenging trails or with larger tyres fitted.

Ignoring a leaking power steering hose can lead to the power steering pump running dry, causing permanent damage and costly failure. A sudden hose rupture will result in an immediate and complete loss of power steering, making the vehicle extremely difficult to control. Furthermore, leaking power steering fluid can spray onto hot engine components, creating a serious fire hazard.
