Genuine Nissan Upper Alternator Adjuster Bracket TD42 - Nissan Patrol Y61 GU

Genuine Upper Alternator Adjuster Bracket - Nissan Patrol Y61 GU TD42

This is the upper alternator adjusting bracket, located on the front of the TD42 engine in your Y61 GU Patrol. This bracket is crucial for setting the correct tension on your alternator belt. The original bracket can fail from metal fatigue, vibration, or from being over-tightened, causing it to bend, crack, or strip the adjuster thread. A failed bracket makes it impossible to tension the alternator belt correctly. This will lead to belt squeal, poor battery charging, and can leave you stranded if the belt fails completely.
