Genuine Nissan Rocker Cover Breather PCV Valve TD42 - Nissan Patrol Y61 GU

Genuine Rocker Cover Breather PCV Valve - Nissan Patrol GU TD42T & TD42TI

This Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve is located in the rocker cover of your TD42T or TD42TI engine. Its job is to vent excess pressure from the crankcase, preventing pressure from building up and blowing out critical engine seals. When this valve becomes blocked with oil sludge, it can no longer function correctly. A blocked valve will lead to excessive crankcase pressure, which can force oil out of your engine's weakest points, commonly the rear main seal, resulting in costly oil leaks and potential engine damage.
