Genuine Nissan Viscous Hub TB48 - Nissan Patrol Y61 GU

Genuine Nissan Viscous Hub - Nissan Patrol Y61 GU TB48

The viscous fan hub is located on the front of your engine's water pump and is what your main cooling fan bolts to. Its job is to control when the fan engages to pull air through the radiator. When the silicone fluid inside fails or leaks, the hub will no longer lock up as the engine gets hot. This drastically reduces the cooling system's ability to do its job. Failure to replace a faulty fan hub puts your engine at serious risk of overheating, which can lead to expensive damage like a warped cylinder head. This genuine Nissan part ensures your cooling system functions exactly as it was designed to.
