Genuine Nissan Viscous Hub ZD30 - Nissan Patrol Y61 GU

Genuine Nissan Viscous Hub - Nissan Patrol GU Y61 ZD30CR Common Rail

The viscous fan hub is mounted to the front of the water pump and drives your main engine cooling fan. It's a critical component for regulating engine temperature, especially when you're working the vehicle hard or towing. When the silicone fluid inside the hub fails or leaks, it stops engaging the fan correctly. This leads to the fan either spinning too slowly to cool the engine, or being permanently locked on, which is noisy and saps engine power. A faulty viscous hub is a leading cause of overheating in a ZD30CR engine. If you don't fix it, you risk catastrophic engine damage like a warped head, which will cost you a lot more than a new hub.
