Genuine Nissan Viscous Hub - Nissan Navara D23 NP300 2.3L M9T YS23

The viscous fan hub is fitted to the front of your engine's water pump and is what your main cooling fan blade bolts to. It is a fluid-filled coupling designed to engage and disengage the cooling fan depending on the engine temperature. When the engine is hot, the hub locks up, spinning the fan faster to pull more air through the radiator. A failing hub will not engage correctly, causing your engine to run hot or overheat. Ignoring this can lead to severe and costly engine damage, such as a blown head gasket or a warped cylinder head.
