Genuine Nissan Timing Chain Kit TB48 - Nissan Patrol Y61 GU 2001-2011

This Genuine Nissan timing chain kit is fitted to the front of your engine and ensures the camshaft and crankshaft are synchronized. Over the years these timing chains can stretch, guides can wear, and tensioners can lose their ability to apply tension. This can cause rough running and eventually lead to catastrophic engine failure.

Ignoring a worn timing chain can lead to a rattling noise from the engine, poor performance, and increased fuel consumption. If the chain stretches excessively or a guide fails, it can jump timing, causing the pistons to collide with the valves. This results in catastrophic and extremely expensive internal engine damage, potentially requiring a complete engine replacement.
