Genuine Nissan Timing Chain Guide Crank Tensioner - Nissan Navara D22 1997-2015, D40 1997-2015 & Pathfinder R51

This is the SMALL Timing Chain Guide that goes against the chain which goes to the CRANK and is on the OUTER side of the timing chain on the TENSION side. Over time, tensioners get worn. You might need this if you are experiencing timing chain rattle, especially on startup, or if you're doing a timing chain replacement.

Ignoring a worn tensioner can lead to significant engine damage, potentially resulting in a complete engine rebuild.

Product Features

• Genuine Nissan Part: Manufactured to exacting OEM specifications using high-grade materials for perfect fitment, performance, and long-term reliability in Australian conditions.
• Prevents Engine Damage: Ensures the crankshaft timing chain remains properly tensioned, preventing the chain from skipping teeth which can cause catastrophic internal engine damage.
• Direct-Fit Replacement: Designed as a direct replacement for the original guide, ensuring a straightforward installation process for a qualified technician.

Installation Notes

Replacement of this timing chain guide is a complex workshop job that requires significant engine disassembly to access the internal timing components. It is not recommended for a typical DIY mechanic. This guide is usually replaced as part of a complete timing chain kit. We strongly recommend also replacing the other guides, tensioners, chains, and relevant seals at the same time to complete the job properly.

At Patrolapart we sell a complete kit with all the necessary parts to do this job as recommended -
