Genuine Nissan Throttle Body - Nissan Patrol Y62

This is a Genuine Nissan replacement throttle body for all models of the Nissan Patrol Y62 fitted with the VK56 petrol engine. As a critical component mounted to the engine's intake manifold, the throttle body is located between the air filter housing and the engine. Its primary function is to precisely regulate the amount of air entering the engine, which directly controls engine speed and power output.

Throttle bodies are typically replaced due to the failure of internal electronic sensors or wear in the butterfly valve mechanism. Installing a new genuine unit restores correct engine performance, throttle response, and fuel efficiency when the original part fails. This direct-replacement part ensures your vehicle performs exactly as the manufacturer intended.

Product Features

• Genuine Nissan Part: A guarantee of quality, a perfect fit, and reliable performance for your Y62 Patrol.
• OEM Specifications: Manufactured to Nissan's exact standards for precise fitment, correct ECU communication, and long-term durability.
• Direct Replacement: Designed as a direct, bolt-on replacement for the original factory-fitted throttle body, ensuring a straightforward installation.
• Built for Durability: Engineered with materials chosen to withstand the high temperatures and rigours of the engine bay and harsh Australian conditions.

Installation is a moderate workshop job that requires a basic set of tools. After fitting, a throttle position relearn procedure is often required using a suitable scan tool to ensure the ECU correctly recognises the new component. For a correct and long-lasting seal, fitting a new throttle body gasket (part # 161751LA0A) is highly recommended. This is also a good opportunity to inspect the main air intake hose for cracks or damage.
