Genuine Nissan Tailgate Hinge Bolt Grommet - Nissan Patrol Y60 GQ

This is a replacement Tailgate Hinge Bolt Grommet designed to suit the Nissan Patrol Y60 GQ models. It is located inside the rear barn door, fitting behind the interior door trim to seal the area around the hinge bolt cover, preventing the ingress of dust and moisture.

Over time, the original rubber grommet becomes brittle and cracked from constant exposure and the repetitive movement of the tailgate. A failed or missing grommet is a common cause of dust entering the tailgate cavity, which can lead to rattles and moisture damage. This grommet provides a direct-fit replacement to restore a proper seal, protecting the internal components of your door from the harsh Australian environment.

Product Features

• Direct replacement for a perfect fit on GQ Patrols.
• Made from high-quality, durable rubber designed to resist perishing and cracking.
• Restores the factory seal to prevent dust and moisture from entering the tailgate.
• Unlike inferior grommets made from low-grade materials, this part provides a secure fit to prevent rattles and premature failure, saving you from having to do the job twice.

Installation is a straightforward job for any DIYer with basic hand tools. Access is gained by removing the inner barn door trim to get to the hinge bolt cover. While you have the trim off, it is a good opportunity to inspect the barn door hinge pins, bolts, and other hinge components for any signs of wear or damage. You may also require new hinge pins or bolts if excessive play is found.
