Genuine Nissan Swivel Hub Wiper Seal - Nissan Patrol Y61 GU

Genuine Nissan Swivel Hub Wiper Seal - Patrol GU Y61

Fitted to the rear of the swivel hub (steering knuckle) on the front axle, this genuine Nissan Swivel Hub Wiper Seal acts as the first line of defence against contamination. This crucial seal is designed to prevent water, mud, dust, and other road grime from entering the swivel hub assembly, protecting the vital kingpin bearings and CV joint within. Over time, the original seal can perish, crack, or become damaged from off-road use, leading to grease leaks and the potential for contaminant ingress.

Failure to replace a worn or damaged wiper seal can lead to catastrophic and expensive damage. Once the seal is compromised, abrasive contaminants mix with the internal grease, rapidly wearing out the kingpin bearings and potentially destroying the CV joint. This can result in poor steering, grinding noises, and ultimately, a complete failure of the front axle assembly, requiring a costly rebuild.
