Genuine Nissan Sub Tank Switch - Nissan Patrol Y61 GU

Genuine Nissan Sub Tank Switch - Patrol Y61 GU 1-3

The Sub Tank System is quite complex on a GU Patrol, so don't assume that if it doesn't work the switch is broken, the Switch also has an Incandescent light in it which is replaceable. Don't just assume the switch is broken because the light doesn't work.

If you are unsure, get your car looked at by a professional before you start replacing parts.

Over time, the internal electrical contacts can wear out or the switch mechanism can fail, preventing you from accessing fuel from one of your tanks. A faulty switch can be a major inconvenience, especially on long trips.

If the switch fails, you could be left unable to access the fuel in your sub tank. This could leave you stranded with a full tank of unusable fuel, effectively halving your vehicle's range and potentially leaving you stuck in a remote location.
