Genuine Nissan Steering Box Pitman Arm - Nissan Patrol Y61 GU

Genuine Nissan Steering Box Pitman Arm - Patrol Y61 GU

This Genuine Nissan Steering Box Pitman Arm is a critical steering component that mounts directly to the output shaft of your vehicle's steering box. It acts as the primary link that translates the rotational movement from the steering box into the side-to-side motion required to turn your front wheels. This part often requires replacement due to wear on its internal splines or the integrated ball joint, which can be accelerated by heavy use, oversized tyres, or challenging off-road conditions.

Ignoring a worn Pitman arm can lead to excessive play in the steering, a vague or wandering feeling on the road, and clunking noises when turning. In extreme cases, complete failure of the arm can result in a total loss of steering control, creating a significant safety hazard.
