Genuine Nissan Seal Pinion Rear Diff Behind Flange - Nissan Navara D40T

Genuine Nissan Seal Pinion Metal Rear Diff - Nissan Navara D40 (MNT)

This seal is fitted to the rear differential housing, right behind the pinion flange where your tailshaft bolts on. Its job is to keep your differential oil in and the dirt and water out. The original rubber seal can go hard and brittle from heat and age, leading to a messy and damaging oil leak. If you don't replace a leaking pinion seal, you risk running the diff low on oil. This will cause accelerated wear, whining gears, and ultimately a complete and expensive failure of your rear differential, leaving you stranded.
